Being accessible

One of the most fundamental aspects of nursing is just being there, caring about the patient and understanding that we are the 'medical linguists' who translate what is going on in their lives in a way that they can understand and remember. Being accessible, I believe, could be the crux.As for my situation, I am certain there will be more times in the future where I will not understand what is going on. But I also know I will take a sensible approach and ask the nurses and doctors to stop what they are doing and explain things.
