A Development of the measuring instrument for radial NRRO of the single rolling bearing

A measuring instrument for radial NRRO of a bearing was developed using hydrostatic air Oldham coupling. The availability of the instrument was also investigated. The results are summarized as follows: (1) It was confirmed that the measuring instrument with hydrostatic air Oldham coupling for radial NRRO of a bearing showed high accuracy and easy handling. (2) Since the conventional instruments for radial NRRO of a single bearing have some error factors, the measured value should be compensated to get the true value. (3) To improve the measurement accuracy of the new instrument, it is necessary to improve the rotating accuracy of its support air spindle.
