Fertilizers and quality of potatoes.

摘要

Influence of fertilizers on internal and external quality characteristics of potatoes is discussed with particular reference to use of Ca, K, Mn and B fertilizers. Problems caused by deficiencies in these minerals are considered, including enhanced damage sensitivity, increased susceptibility to fungal infection, discoloration and increased transpiration losses during storage. Recommendations are also presented for ensuring optimum mineral fertilization regimes in order to optimize potato quality.
