Economic analysis for cascade-refrigeration-systems using CO{sub}2 (R 744) as low-temperature refrigerant

摘要

This study deals with an economic assessment of different cascade-refrigeration-systems for low-temperate applications. Both one-substance-systems with intermediate-pressure vessel and two-substance-systems with cascade heat exchanger have been compared under the same conditions. It turns out that at low evaporation pressure CO{sub}2 is a suitable economic alternative.
