Geoff Upex on British Design

Land Rover Design Director Geoff Upex retired at the end of 2006 after 23 years service. Upex was at the helm of Land Rover and its previous entity Rover design group, navigating through one of the most extraordinary periods in the world's automotive industry, from the early British state-owned group through privatization, then capital affiliation with a Japanese manufacturer, to German and more recently American ownerships, creating the designs of a number of significant vehicles.
