WHEN MTX DRESSES UP FOR A PARTY, IT'S IN ALL BLACK. This might be subdued attire for a label that screams "Loudest Box on the Block," but the aesthetic has an implicit message: "I'm a badass." To this point, the Thunder TCE5510D subwoofer enclosure is clothed in dense black automotive carpet over its 3/4" MDF assembly. Its inset faceplate and boomerang-shaped fascia insert are laminated with a textured black PVC surface, providing depth and style to its appearance. The enclosure is fabricated using interlocking dado/V-groove construction that precisely aligns each MDF panel, and rounded-over edges that provide smooth contours at the comers.
