Special features of structure formation in diffusion layers on steels 4Kh5MFS and 20Kh13 during nitrocarburizing at 940 - 990 deg C in charcoal granulated mixtures enriched with carbamide and sodium carbonate are studied. The conditions for manufacturing wear-resistant tools from the studied steels are determined.
