The final investment decision (FID) on the giant Shtokman gas field in the Barents Sea is to be post- poned again. This time, however, it is the pipeline part of the project that is being held up rather than the LNG side. Prior to the FID, there is still a slew of problems - from tax breaks to basic project design - that need to be resolved.
