ASQ's Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) program has been proceeding on its carefully laid-out plan, like a finely-crafted WWVB synchronized timepiece. To say a lot has happened with the CCT program since my last update would be an understatement. First and foremost, the long awaited CCT Body of Knowledge (BOK) document has been finalized and published. Readers may remember that the BOK was developed from a series of workshops, phone interviews, mail surveys and many long hours of careful evaluation and analysis. The CCT BOK reflects the participation of hundreds of calibration professionals from industry, academia and government agencies. The BOK is divided into the following 6 major topics, each with their own subtopics and associated explanatory subtext:General Metrology (30 Questions)Measurement Systems (25 Questions)Calibration Systems (25 Questions)Applied Mathematics and Statistics (20 Questions)Quality Systems and Standards (15 Questions)Uncertainty (10 Questions)
