Egypt: import prices for HRC grow, domestic flats prices stable

Buyer activity remains rather stable in Egyptian flat steel market. Domestic producers of HR coils are keeping their prices steadyso far in spite of the fact that foreign suppliers are raising the offer prices. In particular, quotations of Russian flats have alreadybecome by $5-10/t higher than offers of local producers, while prices for the Ukrainian material still remain much lower.
