Calicivirus comes under attack

Since they were first released during 1859, rabbits have been wreaking havoc in Australia. Various control methods have met with varying success. Rabbit calicivirus initially killed large numbers of rabbits but it seems some Australian rabbits may beresistant to it. CSIRO researchers are unravelling the source of this possible resistance and looking for new approaches to control rabbits.
