European Union (EU) accreditation has given some the flexibility to reap the rewards of recent price premiums for EU eligible stock, but producers are struggling to fill orders and Australia is at risk of being swamped by other countries. Increased access for Australian beef into the EU via a new grain-fed quota has prompted a surge in interest in EU eligiblecattle, which has seen demand outstrip supply.
