New spray technology reduces drift

Droplet size, boom heights and shrouds can all help reduce spray drift from ground-based chemical applications.An international collaboration project supported by the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) is updating spray drift information used in industry modelling that underpins chemical application regulations. Herbicide and pesticide applications in grain and other crops is coming under increasing restriction from the Australian Pesticide and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA).
