FUEL ETHANOL OUTPUT GOES FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH

Fuel ethanol production in Thailand in February 2014 remained high when compared with historical standards. The February total was 92.4 mln litres, down from the all-time high of 94.3 mln in the prior month but up sharply on 77.0 mln one year ago. A significant share of this growth comes from cassava-based producers. The Jan/Feb total was 186.7 mln litres, up from 155.0 mln one year ago (Jan/Dec: 949.1 mln).
