The Swedish government will impose an energy tax of SEK1.15 ($1=SEK8.52) per litre on fuel ethanol starting in December which so far had been fixed at zero. The increase will happen in two steps: from December 1, 2015, the energy tax waiver for fuel ethanol will be cut from 100% to 78%, when compared with gasoline, and from January 1,2016 to 73%.
