UTICA ENERGY ETHANOL PLANT TO BE AUCTIONED THIS SUMMER

The auction for Utica Energy's ethanol plant in Oshkosh, Wisconsin will be conducted this summer, said local press reports. The operator collapsed under the weight of more than $30 mln of debt, of which $19.2 mln to Dougherty Funding and $9.2 mln to West Pointe Bank. Facing liquidity and capital-related challenges, the owners and senior creditors had earlier agreed to transfer the assets of the company into a Chapter 128 receivership. Production had ceased last September.
