GOVERNMENT RESUMES OIL FUND LEVY COLLECTION FROM CONVENTIONAL FUEL

Thailand's Energy Policy Committee has approved a resumption of the Oil Fund levies on diesel and gasoline from January 16, 2012, Dow Jones reported. The Oil Fund will collect THB0.60 ($1=THB31.801) from each litre of diesel sold at pumps nationwide, compared with THB1.00 for gasoline 95 and gasoline 91. The levy on gasohol 95 will be raised by THB1.00 per litre to THB1.20. The levy on gasohol 91 and E-20 will be cut by THB1.00 per litre, while the funds on E-85 will be raised by THB0.10.
