Ethanol imports in September hit a two-year high, thanks to the strong US dollar boosting arrivals from Brazil. Despite considerable growth in exports on the month, net ethanol exports were the lowest for 16 months, trade data show. Imports in September were at 175.2 mln litres, of which 162.1 mln from Brazil, also a two-year high. The September total compares with 121.2 mln litres in the preceding month and 87.9 mln one year earlier.
