FAME exports in September 2015 were 94,805 tonnes, trade data show. This was the highest level so far in calendar year 2015 which compares with 83,800 in the preceding month and 189,180 one year earlier. There were strong exports to Peru, while shipments to the US, the main destination, remained up sharply on the year but were below the August level. In September, 60,300 tonnes went to this destination, a four-month low, after 81,800 in August. Shipments to Peru were 34,500 tonnes, a one-year high.
