"War is not good at any point, specially for developing countries, but I don't think that the Indian steel sector will be affected because of Iraq," union steel minister Braja Kishore Tripathy said giving his views on the Gulf War II. He, however, admitted that in the short term steel exports might suffer owing to postponement in export orders. "Things will improve after the war," Tripathy assured. Indian steel producers had expected exports to touch three million tonne during the current financial year.
