ORIN'S GOTT IT: MIM reports on the efforts of one employer to get the younger generation ready for the realities of the automotive industry

Ian Gott, Director of Gott Technical Services, is passionate about encouraging young people into the automotive industry as a whole. This has seen him take action to raise awareness of the diverse careers available and how rewarding they can be. In a recent project, the leading North East maintenance equipment supplier set students at a local college the task to design a piece of garage equipment that would facilitate the work that garage owners and technicians carry out on a day-to-day basis. The competition aimed to get the students thinking innovatively about finding solutions for professional workplaces.
