For the challenge of bringing its patrol workforce up to speed with electric vehicle technology, the AA is taking to the road. A comprehensive programme of roadshow events arming to give AA patrols a crucial, first-hand look at the latest EV and hybrid drive systems is calling at locations throughout the UK. With 3000 patrols from Inverness to St. Ives, the AA network takes in every single part of the country. So, when it comes to assessing cost and time in bringing individuals together for essential training, half-day/one-day sessions are not always viable. The decision was taken last year to put a programme together to train patrols on electric drive systems, including vital information to differentiate between the high voltage side and the low voltage side of the vehicle.
