In the light of Unipart Automotive going into administration, MIM editor Tim Kiek looks at the changing profile of the UK parts distribution sector. The news in late July that Unipart Automotive had gone into administration sadly did not come as much of a shock. Back in 2011, the company was sold-off by Unipart Group to H2 Equity Partners, an independent private equity firm.
