THE ECONOMIC RECOVERY of China is probably more important than that of Japan for Australian mineral producers - even if the Japanese continue to be major buyers of domestic exports. Furthermore, it is unlikely that another wave of so-called zombie banks or corporations will emerge, as they did in Japan during the 1990s, following the swift implementation of the various economic stimuli packages post last year's global financial crisis.
