Sydney-based engineering and infrastructure management services provider Downer EDI Ltd has lifted its interim profit after tax for the half year ending last December by 50 percent to 69.6 million dollars. The result marked the seventh year of growth for the company. Solid operating performance across most of its businesses - which include Works Infrastructure, Downer Engineering, Roche Mining, Century Resources, EDI Rail and CPG Corporation - resulted in a 27 percent boost in Downer EDI's revenue base to 2.3 billion dollars.
