FERC OKs Tennessee plan to meet generator needs with new service

Dismissing concerns from Tennessee Gas Pipeline shippersabout potential harm to their service, the Federal Energy RegulatoryCommission has approved a new service and capacity lease for thepipeline designed to meet the needs of gas-fired generators thatrequire more flexible scheduling of transportation service.The order approves all elements of the proposal fromTennessee, including the lease of capacity on Texas intrastatepipeline and Kinder Morgan affiliate Kinder Morgan Texas Pipelineand a limited jurisdiction certificate for the intrastate pipeline.
