Long-withdrawn 86251 moved from Freightliner's facility at Crewe to CF Booth scrapyard in Rotherham on December 1 afterthe locomotive was purchased by Europhoenix. The Class 86/2, which still retained its rather weathered Virgin Trains red and grey livery, was taken out of service more than 20 years ago in October 2002, when the locomotives were displaced from Virgin services following the introduction of the Class 220/221 and 390 fleets.
