Francis Kere wins the 2022 Pritzker Prize

Diebedo Francis Kere has won the 2022 Pritzker Prize.He is the first black architect to be awarded the prize, which is now in its 44 year.Kere, who was born in a remote village in Burkina Faso in 1965, moved to Berlin aged 20 where hestudied architecture and now spends half his time. A dual national, much of his built work is in westAfrica but he designed London’s Serpentine Pavilion in 2017.
