In an aircraft, a server in the aircraft connects to satellites via an antenna. These in turn exchange their signals with ground stations connected to the Internet. In the aircraft cabin, the WLAN access unit takes over the signal exchange task and ensures the necessary signal for the passengers using the Internet through its receiving and transmitting antenna. Currently, the wireless access unit would be installed as a separate device on the structure with the necessary bracket. Depending on the aircraft type, several such devices will he installed to ensure the necessary signal coverage in the cabin. This is also the disadvantage of this installation method, because the wireless devices that are installed on the structure behind the cabin elements are covered at the same time by the elements and systems that run between them, which leads to a loss of signal strength. This is also the reason why several such wireless devices arc necessary. Another disadvantage is the difficult access to these devices, the necessary cabling to the devices and the weight.
