Driver Selectable Fuel Gauge

The invention is an algorithm for eliminating fuel gauge fluctuation and/or improve gauge display performance when vehicle is operated in specific dynamic conditions that will cause gauge fluctuation or incorrect readings. The invention interacts with the existing driver mode switch algorithm 1 which may reside in any one of the vehicle's controllers that allows the driver to select from various modes. These modes include but are not limited to TOURING, SPORT, ECO, MOUNTAIN, OFF-ROAD, TRACK 2. This will allow the fuel gauge algorithm 3 to receive specific mode information from the vehicle controller 1 and adjust the software and/or calibration to dynamic conditions that may be inherent in the current driver selected modes which may cause inaccurate readings on the fuel gage display 4.
