摘要

An economic bubble can be described as a situation in which the perceived value to investors of a product grows at a rate faster than the growth in real economic value of the product until the perception is unsustainable and collapses.Perhaps the most famous bubble is the example of "Tulipmania" in the Netherlands in the 17th century. The excitement over exotic tulips drove prices to extraordinary heights completely unjustified by the practical value of the tulips themselves. Explanations were given by excited tulip buyers for the unique circumstances that justified the fabulously high price while the continuing rise in tulip prices created a self-sustaining mania-until it collapsed.
