The present disclosure describes arrangements for fixating or securing reels of paper relative to each other. The reels can be reels of rolled-up carton or paper. The reels may be used, for example, in various forms of paper, printing and packaging industries and may have a wide range of sizes and weights. Fig. 1 illustrates a first embodiment of a reel fixing device. This device has a base plate 12 and a rod 13 that is attached to the base plate 12 and extends upward in a vertical direction A along a main axis A1 of the device. A through hole 14 extends through an uppermost end of the rod 13. A pin 15 may be inserted in the through hole 14. The pin 15 is longer then the hole 14, such that the ends of the pin 15 may extend out from the hole 14 when the pin 15 is inserted in the hole 14. A first reel 16 is positioned on the base plate 12 with the rod 13 extending through a center hole 17 of the first reel 16. A second reel 10 may be positioned on the first reel 16 with the rod 13 extending through a center hole 11 of the second reel 10. The rod 13 will then fixate the reels 16, 10 relative to each other in the horizontal direction R. The pin 15 has a length that is longer than the diameter of the reel's center holes 17, 11. By inserting the pin 15 in the through hole 14 it is then possible to prevent the reels 16, 10 from being removed from the rod 13. The rod 13 may have additional through holes similar to the through hole 14 and which may be spaced apart by a distance that corresponds to a vertical height of the reels 16, 10. A through hole may then be located just above the uppermost reel, thereby fully fixating the reels to each other in the vertical direction A when the pin is inserted in this though hole.
