Legislation Committee looking for your help

The Institute is consulted on a regular basis as both a statutory consultee and by UK, European and worldwide regulators for contribution and comment on forthcoming legislation. In addition, the Institute is often represented on relevant industry advisory panels and commissions. It is also involved in meeting with, and influencing decision makers in government and industry. These activities were monitored and directed by the former Institution of Mining and Metallurgy by a Legislation Committee, and while this work continues, the merged Institute would like to expand and incorporate more fully the interests of all its members. The Legislation Committee is primarily involved with planning, the environment, health and safety and social issues.
