New Foresight reports highlight future:direction for materials research and investment

Maitainnning the visibility of Foresight within the materials community has been a primary objective of the Materials Panuel under the chairmanship of Profesor Graham Davies.When the majority of the Foresight groups and panels were disbanded in March 2002,the materials community lobbied hard to retain their identity.This action was rewarded and under the auspices of the Institute of recent phase of work will see the delivery of six important sector reports and a new edition of Tomorrow's Materials for Schools.Materials World looks at the key objectives and recommendations from a series of four Materials Foresight reports,soon to be published.
