摘要

New multicomponent V-based glassy alloy powder has been synthesized by mechanical alloying a mixture of elemental V{sub}45Zr{sub}20Ni{sub}20Cu{sub}10Al{sub}2.5Pd{sub}2.5 powder at room temperature, using a low energy ball mill. The glassy powder of the end-product (720 ks) in which its glass transition temperature (T{sub}g) lies at a rather high temperature (745 K), crystallizes through two sharp exothermic reactions at 843K and 919K, respectively. The total enthalpy change of crystallization (250L鱄{sub}x) is -1.78kJ/mol. The supercooled liquid region before crystallization, △T{sub}x of the synthesized glassy powder shows a high value (98K) for a metallic glassy system. The reduced glass transition temperature (ratio between T{sub}g and liquidus temperatures, T{sub}l (T{sub}g/T{sub}l)) was found to be 0.52.
