British Columbia Hydrogen Highway Olympic fuel cell demos

The BC Hydrogen Highway sponsored a host of hydrogen and fuel cell product demonstrations and public exhibits during the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games in British Columbia. There were more than 50 hydrogen and fuel cell product demonstrations and technology exhibits including the following: Buses - In Whistler, 20 fuel cell-powered transit buses were operated by BC Transit in the largest single fleet of zero-emission fuel cell buses worldwide. On-board exhibits educated and informed riders regarding the energy path of hydrogen as it is transformed in a fuel cell into electricity that powers the bus.
