Advanced eddy current sensor for improved inspection of steam generator tubes

摘要

A new type of eddy current sensor has been developed for the inspection of steam generator (heat exchanger) tubes. This advanced sensor offers high sensitivity, improved defect detection, and a good immunity against noise that may he caused by geometrical variations of a tube. A description of this probe, together with experimental results, are presented in this article.
