Fruit Attraction is taking roots

The second edition of Fruit Attraction, Europe's newest and most dynamic fresh produce trade show, was opened on October 20, 2010 in Madrid by Josep Puxeu, Secretary of State for Water and Rural Affairs. He had to step into the breach for the announced Minister of the Environment, Ms. Elena Espinosa, who was deposed from her office that morning when the Spanish Prime Minister José Zapatero surprisingly reshuffled his cabinet. With a 57% increase in exhibition space on the previous year, the trade show accommodated 452 exhibitors (2009: 353) and attracted more than 12,000 trade visitors - almost 50% more than last year, with an 88% increase in overseas visitors.
