SOCMA Held Press Conference at 2012 Chemical Sector Security Summit

The Society of Chemical Manufacturers and Affiliates (SOCMA) held a press conference at the 2012 Chemical Sector Security Summit featuring Lawrence D. Sloan, SOCMA President & CEO, and Bill Allmond, SOCMA Vice President of Government and Public Relations. The press conference included discussion of the future of the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS) program, pending reauthorization bills in Congress and SOCMA's reaction to the current discussions at the summit. About 600 chemical sector, government and industry professionals to attended the summit, July 31- August 1 in Baltimore, MD. Undersecretary Rand Beers of DHS's National Protection and Programs Directorate delivered the keynote address on the first day.
