In which our monthly contracting contributor Nick Hilton of Woodwise Forestry~* discovers a revolutionary new sustainable source of fuel - wood! Yee haw! By heck lads and lasses I do believe we're on the verge of a major breakthrough. Yes. honestly,the clouds are clearing, the sun's coming out, the murky waters are receding, the ice is melting, birds are singing, a new era is dawning. Oh how can I contain my excitement? Easy: the reports have reported; researchers have researched; questions have been answered; money found; studies show feasibility; and, incredibly, committees have committed. To give you a clue about my babbling, the light may not bo on in the boiler house, but someone's knocking at the door! If it wasn't winter you'd think the sun had gone to my head and, no, I haven't been at the sauce. For once I feel genuine progress is being made. What am I whittering on about? Well, I can tell you folks, wood fuel heating is coming to a town near you. No I haven't completely lost the plot;it was actually confirmed to me this week that at least four wood fuel systems are going into colleges in our area with rumour of more into other establishments.
