摘要

In the fast-paced world of 21st century science,it is increasingly difficult to separate areas of the life sciences into distinct subject themes.The Life Sciences 2007 conference(held in Glasgow in July)went some way to help this integration and was,according to Steve Hill,Chair of the Scientific Programme Committee,"the first of what we hope will become a regular scientific event"involving the Biochemical Society,the British Pharmacological Society and The Physiological Society.The result was a vibrant forum in which excellent biological science research was showcased.
