摘要

Rections of benzoyl peroxide with 4-4-(dimethylamino)styrylpyridine and its N-oxide have been studied in chlorobenzene within temperature range of 283-308K.Under peroxide excess pseudo-first order rate constants have been found,which are nonlinearly relatedon the peroxide concentration.This fact is explained by the formation of the complexes and equilibrium constants of the complex formation have been determined.The presence of free radicals has been established in the reactions.The radical formation efficiency for the reactions under investgation is about 60.The dominant effect of dimethylamino group on the acceleration of benzoyl peroxide decomposition has been shown.
