One of the hazardous substances detected,isopropyl-thioxanthone(ITX),migrated to what would eventually be the laminated interior of the carton when the freshly printed substrate was rewound following production.But chemicals such as benzophenone and texanol 2-isobutyrate(TXIB),produced when photoinitiators in UV inks and coatings decompose,are just as hazardous to health.
