It's the fifth Bateman he has had and, although he admits that they are expensive pieces of kit, he believes the backup is second-to-none.Mr Goulboume and his wife Sarah started the business 27 years ago when he bought several second-hand sprayers and aUnimog chassis to build his own self-propelled machine, before investing in his first Bateman a few years later. He now sprays and applies granular products to more than 8,000ha each year.
