In response to the opening of the oral surgery debate, highlighted in our previous issue, we hear from four respected oral and maxillofacial surgeons who provide their views on the future of oral surgical services. They also happen to pull no punches when it comes to the quality of the discussion thus far. We hope this will encourage others to contribute their views and opinions. Debate can sometimes help to inform and clarify, with reference to where each interested organisation sees its role. A coherent approach is surely better than a unilateral push!
