Cut flower: 'Osorno' is the first green spray chrysanthemum to have pale green, even slightly grey, petals. However, the heart of the flower is bright green and the overall effect is of a very contemporary colour combination. It was introduced in April 2005 and more than one million stems have already been sold at an average price of 33 cents Cdn each. It lasted the maximum time in the vase life test at the Aalsmeer flower auction, 21 days, after which, as is standard procedure, the test was discontinued. The ornamental value was still excellent after this period. The flower ships especially well.
