Synthesis of Pyrrolo2,3-cacridines

摘要

The synthesis of 6-amino-3-benzylpyrrolo2,3-cacridine (9) and its 8,9-dimethoxy derivative (10) from N-benzyl-4,5,6,7-tetrahydroindol-4-one and anthranilonitriles, via imine formation followed by cyclization and aromatisation, is described.
