China BPA slumps near 10-week low on weak downstream PC market

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s bisphenol-A (BPA) import prices dropped to their lowest in 10 weeks, dragged down by weakness in the domestic market as local sellers slashed offers in hope of reviving demand. Buying interest was thin and may remain so for the rest of the year as operating rates at downstream polycarbonate (PC) sector may stay low.
