Water, the main limited resource of the Mediterraneann basin. Comparative analysis of problems between Italy and Israel: proposals of the KKL.

摘要

Social, economic and technical aspects of water availability, consumption and demand in Italy and Israel are discussed. The risk of desertification due to climatic variations, soil characteristics and agricultural and tourism activities is examinedand water management strategies are presented. The success of integrating some agricultural, forestry and public policies in Israel is examined and recommended for countries in the Mediterranean basin.
