Chronic isolated fallopian tube torsion associated with huge hydrosalpinx and hemosalpinx in a postmenopausal woman: A case report and brief review

A 26-year-old nulliparous woman with no previous disease history was referred to our hospital for tubal ectopic pregnancy. She underwent a laparoscopic salpingectomy under general anesthesia and was preoperatively given 2 g of cefoxitin intravenously. A 10 mm trocar was placed at the superior edge of the umbilicus to introduce the laparoscope. Ten mm and 5 mm ancillary trocars were placed respectively in the left and right iliac fossa. Intraoperative blood loss was 210 mL.
